THE BRIDGE SO LONG

Bridge-long

This book, The Bridge so Long, is a story about Spenser Madison, a twenty something man with a very routine life, maybe even a very dull life, until that one particular day when he was to take Mr. Able, his boss, to catch a plane going to a business conference. This short trip and the events that took place before he could pick up his boss changed his whole life from that moment on. He to quickly found out what a difference just one moment in time can make. He also found out that he needed help from strangers to get out of the difficulties that came looking for him that morning. Many of these strangers eventually became good friends to Spencer. One in particular, Emily, became much more than just a friend. How they met and what she did to help him in his time of trouble is revealed in his story. I’ll let Spenser tell you all that took place in his story using Spenser’s own words.

CAPTAIN SAM

Captain-Saim

This book allows me to narrate the many adventures and life experiences of Stewart Adam Montgomery, aka, Captain Sam, and or Pastor Sam. Many of Sam’s friends call him by this name. He’s spent most of his adult life on the high seas, first a four-year tour in the U. S. Navy, followed by many more years serving in the Merchant Marines. These stories he now shares with his neighbors at the Harbor Retirement Village, and with fortunate people like myself. These keep all of us glued to our seats until the end of each one of his stories. Every story has some heartwarming effects, as well as, many out-of-the-ordinary events that had happen too often. It is also proof that God has helped and protected Sam in so many ways throughout his many years at sea. His stories also give many interesting lessons to be learned by both Sam as well as his devoted listeners. Sam continues to be a great source of lively entrainment to his many listeners at HRV.

Lonely Travel

Lonely-travel

Too many of us are just a few short steps from the word HOMELESSNESS. Eighteen-year-old Dane Foster found himself there when he lost his dad, without other financial support. With the lack of his job history and during a slow job market Dane hadn’t found work. His dad had raised Dane as a single parent for the last thirteen of those years. Dad had stressed all the proper good instructions to include honesty, politeness, consistency, and hard work. When the last of the money was all but spent and without income, Dane was forced to sell everything he had, except for his bike and cell phone, and then move out and move on. Will any type of change in the future bring him to an answer that will give him hope for his survival? It all appeared to be very bleak. He couldn’t even imagine what his tomorrows would be like in the next few days ahead.
